Glossary

Collective staffing process: Is an approach that allows for one appointment process to fill several similar positions within or between departments and agencies.
Distinct staffing process: Is an approach that is normally intended to staff a single position.
Integrated planning: Is the process by which an organization aligns its human, financial, asset and information resources with its current and future business needs.
People resourcing: Refers to, for the purpose of this initiative, the range of complex and interrelated functions, activities and mechanisms used to place the right people in the right jobs at the right time.
The Centre: Constitutes central agencies of the Government of Canada, i.e., the Canada School of Public Service, the Department of Finance, the Privy Council Office, the Public Service Commission and the Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer at the Treasury Board Secretariat.
Web 2.0: Are Web applications that facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web (e.g., GCPEDIA).
