Seven test pits were excavated and soil samples collected for each. A monitoring well was installed downgradient of the two AST's however insufficient water accumulated in the well for sampling. PHC F1 and F2 exceeded the applicable guidelines in soil samples collected from the vicinity of the AST's north of the burnt house to a depth of 1.6m. At the southeast corner of concrete slab PHC F3 and F4, arsencic, lead and zinc exceeded guidelines at 0.1-0.3m depth. Recommend further test pitting to delineate extents of contamination and determine accurate volumes for remedial option evaluation. Sampling of groundwater, if present, in montitoring well. Obtain groundwater sample from S.E. corner of concrete pad to determine cadmium concentration. Remediation is scheduled for summer 2007. Remediation complete, debris removed from site and contaminated soil taken to aiport soil landfarm. Site can now be archived from the CSMD.
