Action Plan

Continue to implement the Mine Water Management strategy for this location. The Neville Street site extracts contaminated mine water from a series of 10 abandoned, interconnected and flooded coal mines. The contaminated mine water is intercepted and treated at the Neville Street PTS before it overflows to the environment. The Neville Street PTS has a treatment capacity of 18,900 L/min and treats 4.5 billion liters of contaminated mine water annually that is released to Cadegans Brook.
