About Information Technology

At CIOB, the Information Technology function involves:

• providing policy co-ordination and development for the Management of Information Technology Policy and co-ordination and development of policy instruments related to the implementation of the policy;
• providing management and oversight of departments;
• providing internal services modernization, back office reform, departmental review of business plans, investment plans, business cases, Management Accountability Framework work (Area of Management #13) and Treasury Board and Departmental assessments; and
• engaging in IT community enablement, relationship management, community engagement, and internal service leadership related to the IT community and IT governance and enterprise projects; WIKI for communities of practice, social networking research and development and leadership in new technologies.
