2011-12: Sub Slab and Indoor air testing indicates that although petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in indoor air exceed odour thresholds there are no potential impacts to human health. The sub slab results indicate that impacts which may persist under the slab are not the likely cause of odour. Work has been undertaken to determine the cause of the odour and furnace gaskets were replaced as a result. 2010-11: Work will be undertaken to improve ventilation within this space. One monitoring well remains on site and will be decommissioned. Initial remedial work and follow up monitoring relating to this spill were completed in October 2005. Hydrocarbon impacts remain within soils underneath the basement that exceed generic soil quality Guidelines. These impacts are thought to be limited, however further work is required to confirm there are no associated risks.
