Action Plan

No further action required. Extensive assessment and remediation work has been completed at this site. Most recently between 2009 and 2011, additional environmental studies and remediation plan were completed for all areas where concentrations of metals or PAHs in soil exceed CCME criteria for industrial use. Impacted soils were excavated and disposed of or treated off-site. In select areas soils were left in place, for example near existing infrastructure such as building, electrical installations and water and sewer lines. Confirmatory sampling and a human health and ecological risk assessment confirmed remediation objectives met. No further action was required, and the site file was closed. The site will continue to be used for research.
