Response to Parliamentary Committees |

Standing Committee on Public Accounts Chapter 1, “Gender-Based Analysis,” of the Spring 2009 Report of the Auditor General of Canada (tabled in the House of Commons on April 14, 2010). The report contained five recommendations. The Committee recommended that SWC provide an interim status report. SWC led the preparation of the Government response to the report, which was presented to the House on August 13, 2010. In its response, the Government reiterated its commitment to GBA and its confidence in the Departmental Action Plan on Gender-Based Analysis to help accelerate the integration of GBA. In December 2010, SWC tabled an interim status report on the implementation of the GBA Action Plan. This report outlined the progress made by some departments in becoming self-sufficient in performing and sustaining GBA while acknowledging that other organizations could benefit from longer cycle of implementation.
