RCMP External Review Committee - Description of Spending Trends

This graph illustrates the ERC's spending trend over a nine-year period starting in 2006-07 and ending in 2014-15. The graph is based on five years of actual spending, one year of forecast spending, and three years of planned spending. In fiscal year 2006-07, actual departmental spending was 909 thousand dollars; in 2007-08, 1.214 million dollars; in 2008-09, 1.548 million dollars; in 2009-10, 1.614 million dollars; and in 2010-11, 1.784 million dollars. Forecast spending for 2011-12 is 1.556 million dollars; and three years of planned spending is estimated at 938 thousand dollars, in 2012-13; 938 thousand dollars, in 2013-14; and 938 thousand dollars, in 2014-15.

This graph also illustrates additional funding the ERC received over a six year period starting in 2006-07 and ending in 2011-12, from three different sources presented as funding #1, funding #2 and funding #3. In 2006-07, the ERC received 89 thousand dollars from the funding #1 source. In 2007-08, the ERC received 327 thousand dollars from the funding #1 source and 390 thousand dollars from the funding #2 source. In 2008-09 the ERC received 291 thousand dollars from the funding #1 source and 335 thousand dollars from the funding #2 source. In 2009-10 the ERC received 179 thousand dollars from the funding #1 source and 361 thousand dollars from the funding #3 source. In 2010-11 the ERC received 179 thousand dollars from the funding #1 source and 738 thousand dollars from the funding #3 source. In 2011-12 the ERC received 179 thousand dollars from the funding #1 source and 415 thousand dollars from the funding #3 source. From 2009-10 to 2011-12, the ERC benefitted from a transfer of 480 thousand dollars from contract policing partners in support of its operations.
