Personal qualities

Let's be clear. This job is not easy, and it's not for everyone as the work is so vital to so many people, the demands and the pressure to perform are great.

That's why we're looking for people who are driven by the kinds of challenges we offer, who don't mind working quickly, and who are willing to defend their ideas when it matters.

You'll have to:

  • Work smart as the point person for important files. You'll need to collaborate, do research and present your findings intelligently.
  • Deliver under pressure as ministers, other departments and colleagues count on you to deliver results and meet high professional standards.
  • Defend your recommendations in an intellectually rigorous atmosphere where lively debate and open dialogue keep us sharp.
  • Get results and do your part by delivering value. Your drive counts.

"Working at a central agency like TBS enables you to get a lot of experience and to progress fast.  With invaluable support from my senior manager and my co-workers I have been able to integrate well into the team and put to use what I have learned in university."
