What We Offer

As a member of the CAST Program you will enter the program at the FI-01 level and, based on your performance, be eligible for promotion to the FI-02 level after two years. After qualifying as a CA, it is expected that you will be transferred out of the CAST Program and may continue within the Financial Management Group career progression in a Government of Canada department or agency of your choice.

Throughout the three years in the program you will receive a comprehensive training program that will support your practical experience assignments and also help you to develop the necessary CA Competencies to qualify as a CA. 

At the same time you will be a full-time employee of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, working in various departments on a wide variety of projects and assignments.
