This chart visually represents the relationship between Transport Canada’s Program Activities, its Strategic Outcomes and the Government of Canada outcome areas. The program activities are depicted in their logical relationship to each other and to the Strategic Outcomes and Government of Canada outcome areas to which they contribute.

The chart reads from bottom to top. Color has been used to distinguish each of the four Strategic Outcomes and the Internal Services program activity.

Boxes are numbered to identify the content represented in each box.

Box 1 is at the bottom of the chart and is solid orange. It shows the Internal Services program activity and is attached to four program activities boxes above.

Boxes 2, 3 and 4 read from bottom to top, respectively, and are presented in solid yellow. Box 2 is above the Internal Services box and shows four program activities: Transportation Marketplace Frameworks, Gateways and Corridors, Transportation Infrastructure, Transportation Innovation. Box 3 shows T.C.’s Strategic Outcome: An Efficient Transportation System. Box 4 shows three government of Canada outcome areas: Strong Economic Growth, A Fair and Secure Marketplace and An Innovative and Knowledge-based Economy.
