Answers

1. How does this Review relate to the work being done by the Public Service Commission relating to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA), or the Auditor General's audit of the Public Service Modernization Act (PSMA) implementation?

The focus of the PSMA Legislative Review is separate and distinct from these and other initiatives. The Auditor General's report examined the work done in the four years since it last reported on the PSMA. The Public Service Commission examined where progress had been made in relation to the PSEA, and identified areas where it believed that adjustments were required, which it described in a special report to Parliament.

2. How can I share comments or experiences?

The Review Team has finished collecting information. Over many months, the Review Team engaged with a broad cross-section of stakeholder communities across Canada, including managers, deputy heads, bargaining agents, new public servants, human resources staff, employment equity groups, and regional councils. The Review Team also sought input from the agencies that have a responsibility under the PSMA, based on their experience with the legislation since 2005.

3. When will the final Report be ready?

The Review Team is completing its report, which will be provided to the President of the Treasury Board to table in Parliament. A link to the final report will be available from this page.
