Overview of Reports on Plans and Priorities

The Overview of Reports on Plans and Priorities (RPP Overview) is an information tool that provides a whole-of-government overview of planned spending by all federal organizations receiving budgetary appropriations. It also allows readers to navigate to more detailed information on departmental plans found in the RPPs themselves.

The RPP Overview is organized according to a whole-of-government framework, which links program activities planned by departments, agencies, and other federal government organizations to 13 government-wide outcomes within four spending areas. Through the RPP Overview, you will be able to:

  • Compare planned spending for one fiscal year to that of the previous fiscal year;
  • Identify which federal organizations contribute to each government-wide outcome area; and
  • Drill down to departmental RPPs to learn more about the specific programs planned by federal organizations.
