The strategic planning model provides an approach to addressing the issues affecting people when there is technological change by: 1. assessing the situation; 2. setting strategic objectives; 3. developing a strategy; 4. formulating a plan; and 5. implementing the plan. This effectiveness of the model is evaluated following implementation and if required, a return to the plan formulation step may be required.
