Policy Notice

DATE: October 2002

The Fire Protection, Investigation and Reporting Policy was last revised in 1994. The Real Property and Materiel Management Policy Directorate is currently reviewing this policy to address the requirements of the Canada Labour Code, Occupational Safety and Health, and other Treasury Board Real Property policies. This will be an extensive policy review. In the interim, please note the following changes:

  • References to the Fire Commissioner of Canada should be replaced with the Fire Protection Services of the Labour Program of HRDC

It is intended that these changes will be reflected in the revised policy following completion of the review and approval by the Treasury Board. The remainder of the policy is still in effect.
