What You Will Learn in This Course

By taking this Course, you will:

  • Develop an awareness of the importance and relevance of privacy in the 21st Century.
  • Understand the new Policy on Privacy Impact Assessments and its' associated Guidelines and the interaction of each of these documents with other Canadian federal and provincial policies and legislative material.
  • Be able to describe the key features, benefits and importance of PIAs.
  • Be able to describe the process of completing a PIA.
  • Identify key PIA stakeholders and their roles and responsibilities.
  • Define key privacy-related terms.
