Introduction to the PIA Assistant

  • "Privacy Impact Assessment" (PIA) refers to a comprehensive process designed by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) to assist Government of Canada (GoC) institutions in determining the effects of program and service delivery initiatives on individual privacy.
  • PIAs help to assess privacy-related issues in the collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
