At CIOB, the Organizational Readiness function involves:
- developing strategies to enable advancement in the communities overseen
by CIOB in order to help meet current and future capacity needs;
- developing tools (ex. organizational models, generic work descriptions,
competency profiles) to facilitate recruitment and staffing and providing Organizational
Readiness Assessments to assist departments in implementing these products;
- coordinating government-wide collective staffing and recruitment initiatives
on behalf of the IT and IM communities, including job-pool management,
and the development of resourcing strategies and branding activities to attract
recruits to the government of Canada;
- managing the Leadership Development Program to support the government's
shared services and change initiatives;
- maintaining the Professional Development and Apprentice Program (PDAP) and
the government-wide IT Assessment Centre (ITAC).
