Excluded Employees of Certain Specific Occupational Groups

I am pleased to announce the revised salary rates as well as Terms and Conditions of Employment modifications for certain excluded employees from the Air Traffic Control(AI); Education and Library Science (EB); Financial Management (FI); Operational Services (SV); Program and Administrative Services (PA); Ship Repair East (SR-E); Ship Repair West (SR-W); and University Teaching (UT) groups, which were approved by the Secretary of the Treasury Board on .

Salary Rates

Salary rate adjustments applicable to each of these excluded groups align to those found in each group's relevant collective agreement. Rate and Terms and Conditions of Employment Modifications Appendixes A to I, attached, report the salary rates for those excluded positions for which no rates are defined in the relevant collective agreement. Salary rates for excluded positions not attached hereto are to be found in the relevant collective agreement.

Severance Termination

Where already established in a relevant collective agreement, severance pay eligibility in cases of voluntary separation (retirement and resignation) shall, for the above noted excluded employees subject to the Directive on Terms and Conditions of Employment for Certain Excluded/ Unrepresented Employees and in groups whose terms and conditions of employment link to that agreement, cease on the date specified therein.

Payments in lieu of severance will be calculated and are to be liquidated as per the applicable provisions in the relevant collective agreement. The estimate on years of continuous employment is to be provided no later than 3 months from , the date of the approved modifications that is no later than inclusive. Option selections are to be submitted within 6 months from , which would be , and would also include this date.
