Living Cost Differential (LCD) Survey Results for Northwest Territories region and results for a number of isolated posts in Nunavut and Northern BC Region

Departments are reminded to distribute this notice to employees at your headquarters and regional offices who are involved in the administration of the isolated posts allowances.

The results of the Statistics Canada survey of the Living Costs Differential (LCD) Indexes for the Northwest Territories Region including two Northern British Columbia and six Nunavut posts during February and were recently communicated to the National Joint Council Isolated Posts and Government Housing Committee (NJC-IPGHC). A total of thirty one (31) isolated posts were involved in this review and the results can be summarized as follows:

No change in LCD level – 15 posts

Increase by one LCD level – 8 posts
