Figure 1:  Federal Infrastructure Support for Provincial, Territorial and Municipal Infrastructure

Figure 1 shows the increase in federal infrastructure support for provincial, territorial and municipal infrastructure, starting from 2000-2001 to 2010-2011.

From 2000-01 to 2002-03 it remained well below $500 million.
From 2002-03 to 2003-04 it remained at $500 million.
From 2003-04 to 2004-05 it went up to almost one $1 billion.
From 2004-05 to 2005-06 it continued to rise to approximately $3 billion.
From 2005-06 to 2008-09 it continued to rise to over $3.5 billion.
From 2008-09 to 2009-10 it went up to over $6.5 billion.
And from 2009-10 to 2010-11 it went up to approximately $8.5 billion.
