Kevin Halloran, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Sydney, Nova Scotia: In the spirit of team building and celebration, the employees of the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia, gathered to officially kick off the celebration of their 25th year of operation. The Case Processing Centre in Sydney opened in October 1983. As a result of a decentralization exercise, the office was relocated from the National Capital Region to Sydney. A large number of staff who began working at the Processing Centre in 1983 still work there today.

Dorothy Parker, Canada Revenue Agency, St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador: The large glass-encased entrance of the Geo Centre is the only part of the building above ground. Most of the floor space is underground - right inside the solid rock walls! Cabot Tower was built in 1897 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of John Cabot's discovery of Newfoundland, and Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. In 1901, Marconi received the first trans-Atlantic wireless message at a position near the tower; the letter "S" was sent in Morse code from Cornwall in England.
