National Public Service Week: June 9-15, 2013

The third week of June has been selected to mark the importance of federal public service employees and give each and every one of us an opportunity to recognize our many contributions to Canadian society.

Since its launch in 1992, National Public Service Week (NPSW) has celebrated the work and achievements of the Public Service of Canada. The women and men of the Public Service of Canada are among some of our most precious resources, and it is important that we recognize their accomplishments and the positive role they play in Canadian society.

NPSW will continue to play a part in ensuring Canada has the most highly respected public service in the world.

Let's celebrate our work and show our pride in being public service employees. The week belongs to us!

The theme of National Public Service Weeks is: Proudly Serving Canadians

Many events are scheduled across the country to honour our employees. You will find details on what is happening in your region on this website. You may also check with your departmental coordinator for what is happening in your department or agency. It's our sincere hope that NPSW provides us all with the opportunity to celebrate our work and show our pride in what we do for Canadians.

Public Service Award of Excellence

The Awards will be announced during National Public Service Week.  This award recognizes employees who have demonstrated excellence in achieving results for Canadians.
